URGENT! Due to unforseen circumstances, well let's be honest it is Lassen County and Mother Nature, 6th grade Outdoor Camp is cancelled, again. Seems a tree fell and took out the power line, which means permits, supplies, and time we don't have. The plan is to carry over to next year and have 6/7 go together, and perhaps 8th on their own trip. We will keep you updated in the Fall.

This week and next we will be taking the State CAASP test for ELA and Math. The days for both weeks are Tuesday and Thursday. This week is ELA and next will is Math.
May 5th, is Community Pride night and we have an amazing show for you that includes Mrs. Bertotti's 4th graders! You don't want to miss this!! Along with the annual tri-tip dinner, cost is $10 for adults and $5 for youth (3rd grade and under). Please RSVP to Mrs. Polan no later than April 29. The kiddos are super excited for our little show!
Progress reports went home today, please review the report with your student. Any missing work can still be turned in for credit.
We have been working on following directions, ask them about this. I am laughing as I say this, I would love to know what their responses are. In April, right after spring break we will be taking the CAASP test.
Our Reading at Home (RAH) is lacking. We need our students to read for 30 minutes per day and writing a brief summary to turn in. If not completed grades will show the effects of not doing so. I know we can do this together!
You will see a relatively new section named, ' Educational Sites at home and School', these are web sites we use in class and are accessible at home. As time goes I will be adding more as my skill at doing so improves. So many things to do and so little time! But I LOVE IT!
We are working on reading and follwing directions on assignments and quiz ect. This is an issue in both 5th and 6th grade and I am trying to get them to understand this. Meanwhile, their grades will reflect if they are not follwoing directions per the assignment or exams.
