Grade 2
Welcome to 2nd grade! My name is Julie Hjertstedt (pronounced “Yert-stet”). I have a B.A. and M.A. in Elementary Education along with additional graduate course work in Language and Literacy as a Reading Specialist. I have been a teacher for over 10 years and LOVE teaching! I am looking forward to an exciting and successful year and I know you are too.
Homework– please note that homework will go home on Monday and will always be due on Friday. Even though there is no reading log for Saturday and Sunday, please have your child read 20 minutes everyday.

Supplies: Please donate snack (a bag of pretzels, gold fish, cereal etc.) if you can.
