Dear 3rd Grade Families,
My name is Mrs. Faiferlick and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year. I am so excited to be sharing my day with your child and look forward to learning new exciting things together.
Third grade is an awesome and exciting year but also a challenging one. We will be learning new math concepts, cursive handwriting, new language and grammar skills, hands-on science experiments, and independent reading. Be assured that no matter what the day brings, your child will be in good hands. I will make a sincere effort in making sure that each child learns and has fun in doing so.
I am a firm believer in Parent-Teacher communication. I think that is it very important that we both work together as a classroom family in providing the best environment for learning. So please, if you have any concerns feel free to email or call me. You are also welcome anytime of the day to stop by and see how your child is doing.
Starting today and every Monday I will be sending home communication folders. This folder will have notes, letters or any other form of communication for you to see in the Keep At Home side. In the Return To School side you will see a reading log. This reading log is for the students to use at home as they read. Please encourage your child to read at least 20 mins EVERYDAY! Included in this week’s folder is some homework for you. Please take a few minutes to fill-out the Parent Survey telling me a little about your child.
Again I am excited for this school year and I can’t wait to meet you at Back-To-School Night on Thursday, September 6 at 5:30pm.
