Week of September 17 - 21

Hello Parents:

Congratulations to the following students who campaigned to be our 4th grade class Student Council Representatives:  Mallory, Brindin, Evian, Gino, Caleb, and Neveah!  I am proud of all six of you for being INVOLVED and having the courage to speak in front of our class and your creative signs were amazing!  Congratulations to Caleb and Neveah for winning the election, and we look forward to lots of great things happening at Shaffer!

School Picture Day:   This Tuesday, September 18.

Sharing:  We will have “sharing” about once a month this year, and your child has been assigned a day to bring something to share with the class.  Students are expected to present their sharing by telling about it, followed up by either questions, comments, compliments or connections.  Students should not bring items that will result in a traumatic incident if broken or lost (family heirloom, special photo, etc.)

Socks:  Please send lonely, clean, unmatched socks to school to use as white board erasers.

Spirit and Pride Clothing:  Shaffer Pride orders are due this Friday, September 21.

School Board Meeting:  The September meeting is this Tuesday at 6:00PM.

Teacher In-service Day:  I wanted to remind you that students will not have school next Friday, September 28th, as teachers have a county-wide in-service day. Enjoy the day off!!

Math:  Homework and Remembering:  1-7 and 1-8  (Both Sides)
