IMPORTANT  4th GRADE EVENTS AND DATES TO REMEMBER. . . 

 

   4th Grade Musical and Shaffer School Fine Arts' Night!

 "Gold Dust or Bust" The evening of Thursday, April 26 at Shaffer School.

 

 

 Hole-in-One Ranch Field Trip: Thursday, May 24.

 

   Week of April 16 - 20  

Shaffer Students in 3rd through 8th grade began state testing today. 4th graders have the following testing schedule for this week.  Please try your best to make sure they are not absent during these times – Thank you!!

            Tuesday, April 17     8:30 – 10:15             

            Thursday, April 19  8:30 – 10:15

            Friday, April 20       8:30 – 10:15

**Next week is Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 – 10:15**

Testing tips:  A good breakfast and a good night’s sleep is essential for a sharp healthy brain – especially during testing!!  Thank you for helping with this!!!  Here’s our testing motto:

Take a deep breath, go with the flow,

Just do your best and

SHOW WHAT YOU KNOW!

 

Musical:  Next Thursday night, April 26 beginning at 6:00pm. It’s getting close and we are ready!!! (I hope)  Please read the attached note about costumes and additional props we need for our program.  Spread the word to friends and family!!

Missions:  I hope they are going well.  Because of testing we do not have access to any computers, so we will begin our research on May 1.  Mission projects and reports are due May 29.

Routine Information:

Class News, Announcements, and Progress Reports go home every Monday (attached to the homework assignments)

 
Homework: Math Homework is assigned each day, depending on if it is not completed in class.  Students must be responsible for bringing it home and returning it the following day.  
         Reading Homework is nightly. 4th graders are expected to read 20 minutes each day at home and return their reading log each Monday.
I look forward to working with you this year and believe that good communication between school and home is essential for school success for students.
  Science and Social Studies Homework is assigned as needed.
