Welcome to the Shaffer PTO Website!
The PTO is looking for parents, teachers and/or community member interested in helping the PTO. We always need help on our committees and at various school events. Being a part of the PTO is fun and rewarding on many levels. volunteer in a classroom (any day from as little as 30 mins. to hours) Back-to-School Night Bake Sale (need help with baking and selling) Santa Store (need help with planning and organizing including setting up, assisting students with buying, cashiering, wrapping, doing inventory and cleaning up) Hot Drink Sale & Raffle at the Annual Christmas Program (need help organizing items to be raffled, selling raffle tickets, and setting up and selling hot drinks and cleaning up) Concessions at Sporting Events (need help organizing concession stands as well as selling snacks and drinks at sporting events like the track & field events held in the Fall and Spring, at-home basketball and/or football games as well as setting up/cleaning up as necessary) Work at the Student Store with the Student Council (every Wednesday for 30 mins.) Campbells Labels for Education program (need help with collecting and counting labels each trimester and with redeeming the Campbells Points) Take part in the appreciation shown towards Shaffer teachers and staff and towards donors and/or other who help the PTO in its efforts (need help with planning and completing the show of appreciation and set-up and/or clean up as necessary) Family & Community Events like Game Night or Movie Night (need help planning the game/movie night and doing things like serving popcorn and drinks) Help the PTO find grants to benefit the students, teachers, staff and/or school in general

Our Mission Statement We, the Shaffer Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization,are dedicated first, to the better education of our students. Second, the Organization will be a communication tool between administrators, teachers, and parents as to what the needs are at Shaffer and how they can be addressed. Third, we are committed to raising and using the funds necessary in support of the on-going activities, events, programs, and curriculum for the school.
